The Metals:
Gold climbed to as high as $1369.64 in Asia before it fell back off in London to as low as $1356.26 by about 8AM EST, but it then stormed back higher in New York and ended near its late session high of $1382.20 with a gain of 1.46%. Silver rose to $27.903 in early Asian trade before it fell back to $27.047 at around 8AM EST, but it also rallied back higher in New York and ended with a gain of 0.25%.
Euro gold jumped to over €1028, platinum gained $4.50 to $1653.50, and copper dropped 5 cents to about $3.70.
Gold and silver equities fell almost 2% by late morning, but they then rallied back higher in afternoon trade and ended with only about 1% losses.

FDIC says list of 'problem' banks grows in Q3 Yahoo
FOMC Minutes from the fed’s November 3rd meeting showed “policy makers disagreed over expanding record monetary stimulus this month, with a majority seeing a boost to growth and employment and a minority concerned about risks to inflation and the dollar.”
“Some participants noted concerns that additional expansion of the Federal Reserve’s balance sheet could put unwanted downward pressure on the dollar’s value in foreign exchange markets.” (Emphasis Added)
Tomorrow brings Personal Income and Spending, Core PCE Prices, Durable Goods Orders, Initial Jobless Claims, Michigan Sentiment, and New Home Sales.

Oil fell as the U.S. dollar index and treasuries rose while the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P fell markedly on continued worries over European debt and new concerns about a clash between North and South Korea.
