Wallace, Idaho – With Cambridge House International's Silver Summit 2011 just 10 days away, excitement awaits this 9th annual event at the Davenport Hotel in Spokane, Wash.
“Extracurricular” activities including reserved underground tours of working silver mines and the Sunshine silver refinery are slated for Wednesday, Oct. 19th. The conference formally kicks off with a welcoming breakfast hosted by Silvercorp Metals at 7 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, followed by addresses from Jeff Berwick, the Dollar Vigilante; Roger Wiegand, Trader Tracks; and corporate presentations by Silvercorp Metals, SilverCrest Mines, Silver Wheaton Corp., and Great Panther. Eric Sprott of Sprott Asset Management will keynote the morning session at 11 a.m. Dr. Michael Berry will address a “brown-bag” at 12:25 p.m. in addition to a hosted lunch by Mines Management at noon.
Thursday afternoon will feature Bix Weir, the Road to Roota; James West, the Midas Letter; and Louis James of Casey Research, along with corporate presentations by Minarum Gold, Canasil Resources, Orex Minerals, Silvermex Resources, Fortuna Silver Mines, Hunt Mining Corp., and Silver Predator Corp. Morgan Report contributor David Smith will host a panel on the Future of Silver featuring Louis James, Jeff Berwick, Eric Sprott and Al Korelin.
Wall Street legend, winemaker and philanthropist Gordon Holmes, publisher of The Gold Report, will keynote Thursday evening's invitation-only Silver Baron's Banquet commencing at 6:10 p.m. Prior to and during the banquet will be a “silent auction” of silver-related treasures, donated by mining company participants to benefit Women in Mining's Education Foundation. Jeff Christian of CPM Group will host a post-banquet reception, coffee and dessert.
On Friday, following breakfast hosted by Endeavour Silver Corp. and a coffee reception by Pan American Silver, at 7 and 7:30 a.m. respectively, CPM Group's Jeff Christian will open the session at 8 a.m., followed by an overview of Coeur d'Alene Mining District geology by retired Idaho State Geologist Earl Bennett. David Morgan, the Morgan Report, will keynote the morning session at 11 a.m. Corporate presentations for the morning will be given by Hecla Mining Co., U.S. Silver Corp., Endeavour Silver Corp., and First Majestic Silver Corp. Alexco Resource Corp. will host lunch.
Greg McCoach, the Mining Speculator, will open the afternoon session at 1 p.m., followed at 1:30 p.m. by the long-awaited “shootout at the Silver Summit” between CPM Group's Jeff Christian and the Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee's Bill Murphy over whether or not the precious metals markets are rigged. The debate will be moderated by BNN anchor Andrew Bell and broadcast by Kitco News. Afternoon corporate presentations will be offered by South American Silver Corp., Canadian Zinc Corp., Impact Silver, Apogee Silver, Tahoe Resources Ltd., and Swiss Metal Assets. John Kaiser of Kaiser Research and GATA's Bill Murphy and Chris Powell will round out the afternoon, followed by a panel, “Covering your assets in a short-pants economy” moderated by David Smith. Panellists will include James West, David Morgan, Greg McCoach, John Kaiser, Roger Wiegand and Peter Spina of Goldseek.com. A 6:20 p.m. cocktail reception hosted by The Silver Circle and Silvermex Resources will conclude Silver Summit 2011.
Hera Research will host a hospitality room in the Porter Room during the Silver Summit; and Swiss Metal Assets will give special a presentation Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Worthy Room.
