Vancouver, B.C. – Orex Minerals Inc. – (REX: TSX-V, ORXIF.PK) ("Orex" or the "Corporation") – would like to announce that at the Annual General Meeting of the Corporation (the "AGM") held this morning all of the following management nominees were elected to its board of directors: Gary Cope, N. Ross Wilmot, George Cavey, Arthur Freeze, Joseph Drescher and Rick Sayers.
In addition, Dr. Petri Peltonen MSc, PhD, Vice President Exploration at Northland Resources S.A. was also elected to the board of directors at the AGM. Dr. Peltonen will serve as Northland Resources S.A.'s appointee to the Orex Board of Directors. Dr. Peltonen has more than 20 years international experience in mineral exploration and research on several commodities, including iron, nickel, gold and diamonds. Prior to his appointment as Vice President Exploration at Northland Resources S.A., Dr. Peltonen was Managing Director of Northland Exploration Finland. He has an extensive publication record with over 100 scientific papers and holds a Doctorate in Economic Geology from the University of Turku, Finland.
Dr. Peltonen replaces Dr. V. Mirek Benes who resigned as a director of Orex before the AGM. Dr. Benes served as Northland Resources S.A.'s previous appointee to the Orex Board of Directors. We thank Dr. Benes for his contributions to Orex and wish him well in his future endeavours.
